- Me and Dan went to our first Michigan game together! Dan got two free tickets from work. And let me tell you. Google image search "The Big House" and you'll see how intense this stadium is. We were almsot five rows from the tops, but on the 45 yard line. The seats, despite what you may think, were AWESOME. I thoroughly enjoyed myself, and it's a MUST for a future activity for us. Sadly, we parked about 20 minutes from the stadium, walked all the way to the entrance and a nice lady told me I couldn't bring my tote bag in (which had my camera and zoom lens). We walked all the way back to the car and I realized I didn't know if I'd even be allowed to bring my zoom-y in...and pictures would be useless without it! So to save ourselves another 20 minute walk, I left it in the car. As soon as I entered the stadium (which at that point, I couldn't exit) I saw about six people with zoom lenses. So next I'm going to be more prepared. So below, you'll see the only two pictures I took of the whole event.
- We bought our tickets to North Carolina in December...to bid a sad farewell to my sister and her family as they head to New Guinea again for 3 1/2 years. It'll be fun, but definitely bittersweet. Our tickets are purchased, our room is booked. We're good to go. (Side note - Dan's dad called us two days after the purchase and told us he had about $500 worth of reward points to use on airline tickets. DANGIT! But we're for sure planning a trip to Sandpoint, ID next summer, so they're still donating their reward points to us! Yay!)
- I've been consistently learning more about football this year. I know all the positions, what some penalties are, the yardage that penalties cost, what a safety is, what an onside kick is, what shotgun formation is, etc. This quest for knowledge was mostly inspired by my trip to the Big House. It truly was a magical experience.
- My fall decor is up! Me and Dan had a fun and exciting errand to run this morning and on the way home my hubby treated me to a pumpkin spice latte. What a wonderful way to prep for gettin' my fall on. It now smells like spiced cider, cinnamon and pumpkin in the cozy apartment! (There are pictures below...but dont' be fooled! They look so washed out and un-cozy because I had to use the flash. But at the time, the apartment was partially lit, chilly and altogether wonderful!)
- Dan finished his amp! He ordered a kit from somebody in Colorado and finished up all the wiring recently and isntalled it into his AWESOME vintage-looking amp box that he built. I truly am a proud wife! I'll have to post pics of the boxes when I get a chance. I LOVE them!
I think that's all for now. Well, probably not all, but most of the important stuff. Oh - also, Harry Potter comes out in less than two months. The new trailer rocked my world. And, I've decided to back-track and watch Grey's Anatomy from last season so I can watch the finale and the premier this year. I'm getting sucked in again...it's like a drug.
Now...pictures!
The beginnings of Dan's project...amp parts!
More amp parts...I have no idea what they are...
More confusing parts, Dan trying to explain them to me...
Dan never knew he was such a master solderer...who knew?!
Finished product! YAY!
One of the two pictures I took for the Michigan game. This is Dan's cousin. On a billboard. Shirtless. For real - he owns this gym. Driving down the highway I was like, "Dan! That's your cousin!" Weird? Yes.
Pictures number two of the day - the blister I got walking back to the car when my tote bag was rejected :( It was rainy, so my skin was soft and more prone to blisters such as this. It was PAINFUL.
My recent attempt at hamburger buns. Before baking...
...after the baking. Delicious!
The top tote is my summer decor. The bottom tote is my fall decor. Hmmm...can you guess what my favorite season is?
One of my fave candle holders
Love these little pumpkin tealights!
Entertainment center with oil warmer, potpourri and candles. I love fall!
Microwave
I got this little plaque in a cute little shop in Poulsbo, WA. I think of Mandsy every time I hang it up :)
Happy fall!
