Pandora and ramblings

Until Monday, I'd never used Pandora. I know. Now that I have, it's unbelievable to me. Dan took me out to lunch (Arby's, how romantic) on Monday and I spent pretty much the whole time gushing about how my computer is magically selecting music that I LOVE but had forgotten all about (late 90's, early 2000's). And when I don't like a song, I can tell the computer and it says, "Sorry, this song will never appear on this playlist again." I hope there's Pandora in heaven. (P.S. Red Hot Chili Peppers, Weezer, Bush, Black Crows, Pearl Jam, The Wallflower, Dishwalla, Foo Fighters, etc.)

This past weekend, three rooms in my home finally came together after weeks of being thiiiis close to completion. The downstairs 1/2 bath, upstairs guest bathroom and office are complete and to my satisfaction and liking. My last projects? Making a headboard and helping Dan make a bookshelf for the nook. At that point, I'll sit back, exhale and proclaim aloud, "NOW this is livable and I can relax."

Pictures will come - I'm waiting to finish the headboard though. I found these awful/awesome old pictures of our house online, before we moved in. They'll be perfection for before/afters. Mmmyes.

We're on a furniture adventure and I'm just riding the wave. We have a set picked out (that I've already emotionally purchased). Friday we're heading out ONE last time to make sure that we're making the right choice. This furniture...it's ginormous. We moved our current furniture aside and laid down painting tape for the measurements of the new set. Holy CRAPola. I think it's a mix of the new furniture being straight-up oversized and current furniture being WAY too small for the room...and I've gotten used to that. It'll be...a statement, that's for sure. But hey, I'm getting the couch, chair and a half and matching ottoman that I've dreamed of for years. And with 17' ceilings, you need BIG things.

Thanks to the Kennedy mini-series being on (plus other distractions), I've been staying up way too late and not answering my 5am wake-up call that is my irritating alarm clock. It's depressing because I've been eating super unhealthy lately (please reference the Arby's trip in paragraph 1) AND skipping my morning run. It will end on Monday. So it is written, so it shall be done.

My sister sent me these pictures of my nephews and niece...too cute not to share :)

My nephew, Ben-a-boo, who's the spitting image of my dad

Haha!

Nate (so big...when did he grow up?), Mercy and Ben. Love them.

All I can say right here and now is...the 'ol girl's still got some scheming left in her and some tricks up her sleeve. More to come on that in the coming months...

I can't believe you write this at 5 in the morning.
Furniture is awesome! We still need stuff for our front room, but we've spent so much money on the baby, I don't think we'll be getting any anytime soon.
