Greets & Treats

If you know me at all, you know I love to be in the kitchen. Or being crafty. Or being organized. These are, by far, my biggest talents. By far.

My kitchen counter on any given weekend morning. I. Love. The kitchen!
A couple of years ago, I was daydreaming about my dream job. Naturally, it would involve creating either baked goods or crafty/creative gifts. Why not combine the two?! And it came to me - Greets & Treats! I joked about it and even told my dad about it (who, surprisingly was dead serious that I should do it). Years have passed and I've, of course, enjoyed baking treats for birthdays, occasions and get-togethers.

On Mother's Day, I gave my mother-in-law a basket of goodies; it had homemade granola, peanut butter cookies and gourmet olive oil. She. Loved. It. (Bless her. She's so kind to me.) As time went on, she just couldn't get over how well-put-together she thought it was. (Please note: This is me conveying her appreciation and in no way me tooting my own horn.)

We were in Detroit a few weeks ago, staying at a hotel, and at breakfast, we got to talking about Greets & Treats. And with all sincerity and enthusiasm, she turned to me and said "I'm going to be your first customer." Right then and there she requested Greets & Treats' first order for a friend who was retiring!

I'm a little embarrassed to even be publicly talking about this. I sorely lack confidence and the entrepreneurial spirit that both my mother-in-law and sister-in-law have. But because they're encouraging me, I'm trying to be a little more confident :)

So here you have it, Greets & Treats! I've been slowly compiling a list of all the items that could possibly be included, and I'm pleased to say, my list is growing and I'm experimenting with more and more "treat" possibilities :)

Such a fun hobby for me! And hey - if I can help somebody out with a gift, all the better!
