The eve of the weekend

Today has been a swell Friday so far, and it's only 9:30am! Yey-ah! How is it swell? Let me list the ways...

- I love making lists, so creating this post in and of itself is making this day better

- I drove myself to work this morning to run errands midday (which will help break up my day and make 5:00 get here sooner). I let loose and listened to Taylor Swift on my morning drive. I don't really like her. Just some of her popular music. (It's okay, I can feel the judgment raining down upon me.) I think I became mildly interested in her when she was dating Taylor Lautner, and some of her catchy music just stuck. So the fact that my interest in her is via Twilight...does that make it mildly okay?

- We're having an insurance meeting this morning, which I have a feeling I'm going to be totally responsible for pulling off. Not super excited about that, but yet another event to make Friday pass a bit quicker.

- I had time to curl my hair this morning so it doesn't look like dead blonde grass hanging off of my head.

- Dan's birthday weekend starts tomorrow morning! Eggs benedict, here we come.

- I'm going to Pier 1 today to get a floor vase, filler, and anything else cheap-ish that catches my eye. My mother-in-law gets a 15% decorator's discount. I'm unendingly grateful for the good deals she gets me!

- A co-worker reminded me of (and sent the link to) one of the most inappropriate/hilarious videos I've ever seen. (Becca, what I sent you in hey girls.) The Lonely Island, some of the dumbest, most hilarious stuff around. Anyway, I was crying while watching it because I was laughing so hard. Not a bad way to start a Friday.

Also, my dad sent me and my sisters an email this morning (or last night...I live in Eastern Standard Time and they're on Pacific) and it said, "Good night. Have good dreams and good thoughts." (He always used to say that when he would pray with us at night, that we'd have "good dreams and good thoughts." It rolls off the tongue to me and I even still pray it, but when I really think about the words it makes me smile.) Anyway, he attached this picture - I have no idea where it's from, but it's us three girls sleeping when we were little :)

(The sibling resemblance became blatantly apparent to me when, for about thirty seconds, I thought Amanda was me when I was a young teen...until I scrolled down and saw myself at about 7 years old.)

I love us.
