Happenings of late...

First of all, how did I forget Twix was so good?! I just had a fun size Twix and it was pretty much the best thing I've tasted all week. (Not saying much, since today's only Tuesday...but I eat a lot, okay?)

Speaking of eating, 2 pounds away from my goal folks! I've lost 18 pounds so far and can't BELIEVE how baggy my pants are. (Yes, I hate clothes shopping so either 1) I was wearing pants that were WAY too tight 18 pounds ago or 2) my pants are practically falling off of me now. A little of both are true.)

Well, I'm finally finishing off my Grey's Anatomy DVD's. I'm on the last couple episodes of season six (season seven is coming out on DVD soon). I was HIGHLY anticipating the shooting episodes, knowing I'd be so enthralled in the shooter-in-the-hospital drama that I'd totally forget I was running. True. But this morning, I also realized that watching an entire episode of a show (that's actually more like a high suspense horror movie) with people getting shot at 5am in the basement with nobody else around is...a bit unsettling. So I'm opting to watch the rest of the story play out this evening, in my well-lit, above ground living room. But seriously...it's more intense than I thought it would be.

(And side note/toot my own horn moment: If you figure about 40 minutes per episode, that means I've spent around 83.5 hours of solid working out. Way to go, Immel.)

Precious 'lil Mercy gave us all a scare a few days ago. She woke up at 2:15am with severe stomach cramps. By dusk, she and Kristen were winging their way to Cairns, Australia via medivac for possible appendicitis. You should read Kristen's blog for the full story. I was reading it out loud to Dan and had to stop for tears at multiple parts. (Esp: thinking about tiny Mercy with an oxygen tube and J&K pulling Nate out of school to say goodbye to Merc before she left. Wow. Lots of emotions.)

So in an awesome wife move, I found this Tigers jacket that Dan has been drooling over and ordered it. I had it overnight (I NEVER do this...shipping costs are outrageous) so he'd be able to wear it to the Tigers game this weekend. (I left cushion time because I never trust people.) I ordered a large, as that's his go-to size. So last night we were nonchalantly talking about it, and he says he'd order himself and XL "when he buys it." DAMMIT. I was so excited. I'm hoping that he'll realize an XL would be a dress on him and that he'll be happy with the large. Otherwise, homeboy won't have a snazzy new jacket for the baseball game. (While his wife will have an awesome new Indians hat to wear...which she happened to quietly add to the online order.)

I am counting the stinking days until fall! Oct 1st...the decor is goin' up, baby! I love fall almost too much to begin with, but this year it's insane. I wasn't able to decorate last fall OR Christmas (for shame!...I know) because of the house purchase/moving. So by now, I'm almost physically itching to decorate!! Add to that the fact that I have a house that's going to look absolutely beautiful no matter what I do to it. That right there...that's a nesting woman's dream.

That being said...a few visions I dream of as I fall asleep these days...

B.C. in the fall. I love you, Bryan College

Ah, the good 'ol Appalachians. Gotta love western N.C. on a crisp, fall day.
