November is for coziness

Warning: No pictures in this post. Stop reading now if you know you'll get bored.

I started to title this post "It's been a while..." but the drop-down menu showed me that I'd already titled a post with that same thought. Nice.

But yes, it has been a while. I've been meaning to take pictures of Dan's current project - his workshop. It's turning into QUITE the dandy little space, and I'd like to show it off on his behalf. Alas, I'm too lazy to grab the camera, take thirty steps and press a button. (Although when I DO muster up the gumption, I'll also be taking a picture of the newest member of our family to share with everyone. Don't get excited - it doesn't have fur or a heartbeat. It does, however, plug into a wall. Enough suspense? Good, I'll keep it that way to lure you back.)

We're supposed to see the first flurries of the season today! Hearing this on the news this morning got me so razzed up that I went upstairs to try to find some of my favorite Christmas CD's to have with me today - you know, just in case I see said flurries. SAD DAY. I couldn't find my Evening in December OR my Carpenters' Christmas CD's!!!! I know they're somewhere, buried in my totes of Christmas goodness. So this weekend I'm going to sort through/organize all decor and anything Christmas that I own in an attempt to ready myself for when the flurries return.

This morning, after ignoring a slight twinge in my knee for weeks, I think the axe finally came down. All of a sudden, during the Battle of Pelennor Fields, it happened. I could barely lift my leg and bend my knee. I like to think I'm pretty disciplined when it comes to exercise and can push through some discomfort. But I'm pretty sure I looked retarded, trying to limp along. I was about five minutes away from finishing my run, so I powered through and tried to put my weight on the outside of my foot rather than the ball of it. Still. It's not so bad now...but that's probably because I'm not coming down on the poor joint with ALL MY WEIGHT. I'm going to spend some time with the internet today, investigating the anatomy of the knee and try to figure out what exactly is bothering me. (Internet self diagnosis = Lord help me.) I don't know what I'll do if I can't run :(

So my wonderful, sweet, loving, sacrificial husband got me the Breaking Dawn Part 1 soundtrack! I listened to it on my way to work (the direct result of NOT having a Carpenters' Christmas!) and already have some favorites. Sorry...at the request of my godfather, I made a promise to myself to keep the Twilight clamor down to a dull roar.

Okay...a post with pictures is soon to come. Stay tuned. Now?...Off to discover the anatomy of the human knee!
