"Well there's a feeling in the air, just like a Friday afternoon"

Well, it's been a good week. And to top it off, I think I've finally found a blog format I can settle into. (Again. I feel like xanga was so much easier to use. Ah...youth.)

Work's been marginally better this week. My boss has been stressed out, which means I've been stressed out. I'm slowly learning that the best thing to do when my boss is high-strung is to agree with everything he says and keep out of his way unless it's an emergency. This tactic is working pretty well right now.

There's a breeze blowing outside and it's an overcast day. That, coupled with the fact that it's SEPTEMBER 2ND, would lead one to believe that it's a crisp day with the hint of a chill in the air. Sadly, no. The high today is in the mid 90's, with a heat index somewhere between 100 - 105. Yes. This moody, whiplash weather is just another indication that the change of the season is upon us. Monday? The high is 65.

I realized, with the dawning of September, that the release of Breaking Dawn is only two and a half months away! Zoiks! With how busy I've been lately, I thought I better start re-reading the series in preparation right away, in hopes that I'd actually be done by the movie's release. And then...I started...and forgot how addicting those books are...and finished the first one in two days. At that rate, I can re-read the series about ten times before mid-November. Ah, Bella and Edward. Those two crazy kids.

So I snagged this totally cute candle sleeve from Bath & Body Works last weekend. I can't wait to use it on my Leaves candle :) I desperately need to take inventory on how many 3-wick candles I have in stock for the fall/winter months. Because currently B&BW is having a 2 for $20 sale on their 3-wickers. A deal I rarely miss.

The for last several weeks I've been struggling with Weight Watchers, lingering about three pounds juuuuuust out of reach of my goal weight. It's been infuriating - mostly because I have nobody to blame but myself. This week though, I pulled myself up by the running shoelaces and buckled back down. I think my weigh-in on Sunday will yield positive results and hopefully give me enough mental reward to keep me going. This week has been good, save my accidental splurge on white chocolate chips while watching The Bachelor Pad on Monday night...I did NOT realize they were so bad for me! :(

It's 11:35. 25 minutes until lunch - especially exciting today, seeing as I packed myself a diet Snapple (Friday treat!) and pita chips with the best dip ever: chopped up tomato, olive oil and herb feta cheese. Does it get any better? Wait...I also had a soy latte this morning. So yeah, I guess it did just get better.

P.S. I chose this background because it's strongly reminiscent of Mt. Rainier National Park...and I love it there, along with the entire Pacific Northwest. (No, NOT just because of Twilight. I have kin there, so I'm allowed to have this fixation.)

Have you very thought about focusing on inches instead of weight? I mean... 3 pounds is not a big deal.

Also, I like the new layout. And I will totally re-read the Twilight books before the next movie, but not until about 3 weeks before.

I measure weekly too. Arms, bust, wasit, hips, thighs. I've lost 3 1/2" on my thighs! One time I was wearing a skirt and was like, "What's that feeling?...Oh, it's my thighs NOT rubbing together!"
